Digital Marketing Lanzarote turns 5 years old!

DML turns 5 years old! ๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿ”ฅ

On 1/10/18, Gladys took the plunge: she registered as a freelancer, registered the Digital Marketing Lanzarote trademark and ๐Ÿ’ฅBUM๐Ÿ’ฅThere’s a new digital marketing service in Lanzarote. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

5 eventful and challenging years to make DML today:

๐Ÿ‘‰ a team of 6 cool people: Maica, David, Lima, Indy, Sara and Gladys.

๐Ÿ‘‰ another team of specialized collaborators that allow us to expand the services we offer to our clients: Turismark, clicktotravel, Hotelinking and Siracha, among others.

๐Ÿ‘‰ customers in Lanzarote, Madrid, Marrakech, Dubai and France ๐ŸŒ

๐Ÿ‘‰ many ups and downs to build up a portfolio of customers who are a pleasure to work with. And today, with great enthusiasm we can confirm it: right now, we only have clients with whom it is a real pleasure to work. Clients with whom we share values, who put heart and soul into their projects, just like us, and who, in addition to being great professionals, are great people. ๐Ÿ˜˜

DML would not have reached its 5th anniversary without all the people who made this beautiful project possible: the great team that makes up the agency and the clients and collaborators who make us grow every day. 1000000 thanks to all of you for believing in our dream! โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

What have we learned in these 5 years? Gladys’ advice:

๐Ÿ‘‰ don’t compare yourself with these supposedly successful “great entrepreneurs” who sold a lot of books on how to make your first million in 1 year. If it were true they wouldn’t be here killing themselves to convince you to buy their f… book (sorry, I said book). Do things step by step and as you feel them, this is the only good way: yours.

๐Ÿ‘‰ choose clients that you really like to work with. Now you have no unemployment, no sick leave, if this goes wrong no one will help you, least of all the State, so at least make sure you have a good time!

๐Ÿ‘‰ there is no single strategy for success. If there were, we’d all know it long ago. Don’t want to hire and work alone? Fine. Opt for a more aggressive growth strategy? Fine. All strategies are valid if they make sense and make sense.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Oh, another important thing: not everyone in your environment may encourage and support you to become an entrepreneur. You will probably hear phrases like: “Aaaaay, but how are you going to leave a permanent job to become a freelancer? I’ll tell you right now that these are the same people who, when you do well, will say, “See, he became self-employed and did well. He got lucky.” Ya ya… Luck cost me a Zoster Herpes, a few anxiety attacks and many sleepless nights. If this is luck… Sign up yourself too and start getting lucky, get lucky! โ˜˜๏ธ

๐Ÿ‘‰ Surround yourself with good people. Employees, collaborators, customers, suppliers… Remember that before working with brands you work with people. A rotten person will never make a healthy company. The path of self-employment is complicated enough without adding obstacles in your own environment.

We hope these tips will help you if you are thinking about starting a business or if you are just starting out. And if we can help you, remember that you can contact us anytime!
