👉 Cupcake: one of the many dishes/snacks/sweets that are now part of the foodporn and creative cooking craze, so popular right now on all the social networks. So knowing which words to choose to most convincingly express that what your company offers is of value to your future customers is KEY. 💡💡 And the set of techniques that allow you to learn how to choose these magic words made to convince is… copywriting. So that they say later that our job is to “just upload things on the networks and that’s it”. 😉 Here are some basic tricks to take into account when writing any text (be it for your social networks, your website, your catalog, etc.) designed to sell your products or business: 1. So start by asking yourself: what problems does what you offer solve?
E.g.: if your business is a restaurant, you solve several problems; a. find a place where to meet my friends, family. b. find a place where to eat well, enjoy a good atmosphere, or a good view. Start by connecting with this problem (Are you looking for the perfect place to have dinner with your friends?) 2. Explain how you solve the problem and what added value you give to your customer compared to your competitors. To be clear: why choose you and not your competitors, if a priori they offer the same product as you? If you can’t think of examples of your added value, let’s look at the example of two airlines that communicate their added value in a very different way:
Ryanair and Emirates. Ryanair = we are the cheapest and fly to many places. Ryanair will never tell you about the good deal they will give you. In fact, their campaign that even won a Clio Awards “For this price, sit down and shut the f*** up” says it all! We leave it here in case you missed it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaikxQCBZYA Emirates = excellence in service, facilities and treatment. They don’t talk about price because, of course, they are more expensive. So their communication is more along the lines of this ad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQHhYRuaEtM 3. Short sentences, apply the KISS method: Keep It Simple & Stupid. Clear message, don’t get tangled up. What you do, how you do it, where to get what you sell. Write a first version of your text and then read it and refine it by removing any words that do not contribute anything or are redundant. Less is more. 4. Always include a call to action in your messages: call us, ask for an appointment, visit us, etc. Be clear about what you are trying to achieve with your message. Did you know that?
See you in the next post!
